Jessica Doremus
Associate Education Director
Jessica Jaros (Associate Education Director) a Pittsburgh native, spent a decade performing professionally around the world and has since returned home to share her wealth of knowledge with students throughout the region. She brings her real-world experience and broad skill set to her teaching, directing, choreographing, and coaching, with a challenging and fun approach.
Immediately after receiving her BFA in musical theatre from Syracuse University, Jessica set sail with Disney Cruise Line as a member of the original mainstage cast on the Disney Dream. After her time at sea, she performed on some of the most highly regarded regional stages in the country. Favorite credits include Ulla in The Producers at Olney Theatre Center, Lady Larken in Once Upon A Mattress at The Fireside Theater, Pinky Tuscadero in Happy Days (directed and choreographed by Chris Saunders!), Hero in Much Ado About Nothing, Good News at the historic Goodspeed Opera House, and The Wizard of Oz at North Shore Music Theatre. She also performed all over the country as a member of The Watercoolers, an NYC-based musical comedy group.
Jessica previously taught at Performers Theatre Workshop in Maplewood, NJ and choreographed productions throughout the central NJ region. Many of her students have earned interest meetings with casting directors, agents, and managers and have received audition appointments and contracts for Broadway shows, regional theaters, television, film, and commercials.
Jessica is passionate about fostering inclusivity, individual expression, and personal growth in her students, on stage and beyond. She is honored to share her love for the arts with the next generation of young performers at KSMT.
