Lindsay Peters
Lead Instructor - Dance
Lindsay Peters is an enthusiastic artist and teacher native to the Pittsburgh area. With a multitude of disciplines under her belt, Lindsay has had many opportunities early in her dance career. In 2017, Peters graduated from Slippery Rock University with a BFA in dance performance and choreography. In her undergraduate experiences, Peters was selected for residencies by artists to include, Matthew Shaffer, Matt Pardo, Helen Simoneau, and Teena Custer. As the recipient of the “2017 Outstanding Performer” award, Lindsay pursued performance post college professionally with The Staycee Pearl Dance Project. Alongside performance, she explored her choreographic voice by setting work to be featured at the Koresh Dance Festival, Ascendance in Pittsburgh, Seton Hill University, The Race for Grace, Millennium Dance Complex Pittsburgh, and various dance schools surrounding Pennsylvania, West Virginia, & Ohio. While performance & choreography have been at the core of Lindsay’s career, teaching has grown to be a true passion of hers. Teaching has provided multiple opportunities for Lindsay to make connections, express her artistry, and inspire todays youth through positivity and thoughtful technical training. Her teaching credentials include Seton Hill University, Millennium Dance Complex Pittsburgh and Salt Lake City, the NHSDF at Point Park University, Pearl Arts, and Intensity Dance Academy in Mars. Lindsay continues to train and teach in hopes of shaping her students into strong, confident, and respectful artists. Her kind and dynamic personality encourages kids to have fun, work hard, and strive to reach their goals no matter how big or small.
